Sandy MacDonald Hockey Development

Is your child interested in learning to play ice hockey but has never laced on a pair of skates? To learn how to play, you must first start with the very basics of skating. We have a 7 week course designed to teach the basic fundamentals of hockey skating. This program has four levels in which skaters will learn how to maneuver on hockey skates faster and improve agility on the ice and handling a hockey stick. All elements are taught without a puck.

If your child is already familiar with the basics of skating, please contact the hockey director to discuss starting with step 2: Learn to Play.

For more information on Learn to Skate Program and to enroll, visit HERE.

OPEN TO BOYS & GIRLS AGES 5–14!

Sandy MacDonald Step 2: Learn to Play will teach your child the basic skills of stick-handling, passing, and shooting through 8 one-hour lessons. In addition, they will learn about hard-work and commitment. This program is designed for children ages 5 – 14 years old with little or no hockey experience. Each session is limited and space will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Pre-registration is required. No equipment is provided.
